December 3, 1912 - Tuesday

3 - Did not know my history very well to-day, but got my other lessons all right. Got to breakfast too late for wheat-cakes. "Oh! Death, where is thy sting."

Loafed around all morning and read part of "The Filigree Ball" which I hooked out of Miss C's. room. I'm really getting very wicked! Teased Dan after supper till he got mad. He tried to write up his diary, but didn't succeed very well. Raced all over the house with Muriel Duffus.

"The Filigree Ball" is a 1903 novel by Anna-Katherine Green, available to read online here.

2 - Had all my holiday lessons so got along all right at school. Am nervous about tomorrow, though, as I don't know my history. Saw Miss Berry after school and, with Harriet, walked part of the way home with her. Brought Muz her supper. It rained like fury.
