and the many ways it has not.

July 17, 1912 - Wednesday
17 Went for a walk with Dan. He was nicer than I've ever known him to be for he treated me more like another boy. He said he wished I was as I was a good sport & would make a dandy boy. Like that kind of a compliment. I had telephoned to Don to come but he had company. We passed his house on our walk and saw Chandler Green calling. Chris got an awful fright because I took him out of the cage in the dark. I had hard work getting him back and he squawked pitifully, poor thing! Don showed me a letter he got from the fair Clara. Gull of "dearests" and "sweetests". I promised to show him my W. S. I wrote to Helen Perkins (Bud).
